IMPORTANT 9-1-1 Information
Voice over Internet Protocol ("VoIP") telephone services provided by the Company differ from traditional wireline telephone services with respect to access to emergency services (9‑1‑1).
VoIP 9‑1‑1 service depends on the availability of the customer's Internet connection and electrical power. In the event of a power failure, Internet outage, network congestion, or service disruption, VoIP 9‑1‑1 calls may not be completed or may be delayed.
The ability of emergency responders to identify the caller's location depends on the accuracy of the service address associated with the VoIP service. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their service address is kept current and accurate for 9‑1‑1 purposes. If the VoIP service is used from a location other than the registered service address, emergency services may receive incorrect or incomplete location information. Please contact support@mennotech.ca to update your 9-1-1 service address in the event that it has changed.
